چکیده

Abstract. Sensitive and selective detection of biologically and environmentally important anions has been a vast growing field in supramolecular chemistry [1,2]. Much research has been devoted to designing sensors that can selectively recognize anions. Recently, we have reported an anionic and solvatochromatic sensor [5]. (Scheme 1) In this investigation, the effect of various anions on the redox states of the porphyrinogen and its N-substituted analogues were studied. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was employed to probe the changes in the redox potentials of the receptors upon complexation with anions. Upon addition of Fto porphyrinogen, a cathodic shift of ~520 mV corresponding to 1Fcomplex was observed. The Fion had the greatest effect on the porphyrinogen redox potentials while other anions gave modest shifts. DFT computational studies on the anion binding correlated well with the electrochemical results.

Separation and characterization of pentacarboxylic porphyrinogen isomers by high-performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection.

A reversed-phase h.p.l.c. system is described for the separation of all five naturally occurring pentacarboxylic porphyrinogen isomers. The compounds are detected electrochemically with high sensitivity. The peaks are positively identified by h.p.l.c. analysis of the pentacarboxylic porphyrinogens from reduction of pentacarboxylic porphyrins prepared by partial decarboxylation of hexa- and hept...

Using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of salicylate anion selective electrode: simulation for behavior of electrode

In this paper, the behavior of the salicylate anion-selective electrode was studied using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. Considering the diagram of the charge transfer resistance and -logarithm of the double layer capacitance versus -logarithm of the concentration, linear range concentration increased to 1.0×10^{-8}-1.0×10^{-1} M and 1.0×10^{-9}-1.0×10^{-1} M, respectivel...

Proton storage in the periphery of zirconium(IV) porphyrinogen.

The reaction of zirconium(IV) porphyrinogen with water yields a dinuclear complex in which one mu-oxo ligand bridges two Zr(IV) centres, and two protons are bound to the alpha carbons of two porphyrinogen pyrroles. The reaction establishes the utility of the porphyrinogen macrocycle as a storage site for protons as well as electrons.

Pt(II)-activated coupling of aminoethylferrocene with benzonitrile. A facile access route to a new redox-active bis(ferrocenyl-amidine) anion sensor.

A new heterometallic electroactive compound having the ferrocenyl moiety attached to the platinum atom through an amidine functionality has been prepared via Pt(II)-mediated nucleophilic addition of β-aminoethylferrocene to a benzonitrile ligand. This neutral receptor shows remarkable electrochemical anion-sensing redox response to H(2)PO(4)(-).
